Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Argus collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Argus is built around a simple principle: your case materials are yours, and they stay on your device.
1. Your documents stay local
Case files you load into Argus remain stored locally on your device. Argus processes your documents on your machine; it does not upload your case materials to our servers for storage. You decide where those files live and who can access them.
2. Information we collect
To provide and support the Service, we collect a limited amount of information:
- Account and billing information — such as the email address you provide at purchase and the license associated with your subscription.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor; we do not store your full card details.
- Support communications — information you send us when you contact support.
- Limited usage and diagnostic data — such as license activation records and AI credit usage, used to operate the license, deliver AI credits, and improve reliability. This does not include the contents of your local case documents.
3. AI features and credits
Some Argus features use AI processing. When you invoke those features, the specific content needed to fulfill your request may be transmitted to the established, enterprise-grade AI provider(s) that power them, solely to generate a response. We do not sell your data.
4. How we use information
- To operate your license, subscription, and AI credit balance.
- To process payments and send service-related communications.
- To provide support and improve the reliability and security of the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Third-party service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to deliver the Service. These currently include Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email, such as license delivery), Supabase (license and AI credit management), and the AI provider(s) that power generative features. These providers process information only as needed to perform their services.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device. Our payment processor may set cookies on its own domain during checkout.
7. Data retention
We retain account and billing information for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations. Because your case documents stay on your device, their retention is controlled entirely by you.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you are responsible for securing the documents and devices you use with Argus.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
