Disclaimer & Acceptable Use
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This page explains what Argus is — and is not — and how to use it responsibly. It supplements our Terms & Conditions.
Guidance, not ground truth
The guidance of Argus should be handled as a helpful source, but not as truth or fact. Argus is a software tool used under your direction and supervision, and it does not replace the professional judgment of a qualified attorney. Using Argus does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Argus or its operators. You, as the human, are ultimately accountable for all elements of your case.
Outputs require independent verification
Argus uses automated and AI-based methods that can misread documents, miss context, conflate entities, omit material information, or generate output that is incomplete or incorrect. What Argus labels as a "fact," "citation," or "timeline" is interpretive and must be checked against the underlying source record.
You are ultimately accountable for the facts of your case. Argus is built to help you, but the responsibility for verifying its outputs and for every filing, communication, and decision in a matter rests with you and the attorneys and firm responsible for it. Always apply independent professional judgment before relying on anything Argus produces.
